good morning, it's a warm and humid day's start. sharon will have the traffic after marty's first warning weather. well, it was pouring a few moments ago. it may not be now, but it is shortly. we're showing a ton of moisture moving our way. what i want to do is change to a scan. it's one i like to use. it's called a mosaic. it combines all of the radar.

it's showing what's down to the south. we can't get out of the pattern. we think maybe by lunch, we'll have a few peeks of sun and 70 now and 79 at lunch. and this evening, skies will finally clear temperatures in the mid-70s. what's wrong on the hurry up, here's sharon. well, we're picking up a lot more problems now. first of all, we have an accident on the major roadway on 95 reported at 32 and another new accident near hairyson and a second accident at middle river. take hawthorn as the alternate and we have a car fire at druid park late drive and this -- well, in addition to that, we have the police activity and oakfield is closed between norfolk. that's because of a vacant dwelling collapse.

72 now and 90% humidity and a south east breeze at 12 and barometer 29.46. 67 degrees in hagerstown and we're still going to be in the upper 60s in westminster and everyone else in the humid low 70s. this river of moisture continues and we've been soaking overnight and throughout the morning hours. and high pressure builds in wednesday and thursday, the area of low pressure moves from the south and soaking rains come into the area. 83 degrees is the high temperature this day if we get clearing and otherwise in the upper 70s. calm 76 tomorrow and possible soaking rains thursday and 75 friday and sunday. don, take it away. any problems on the wet pavement, here's sharon. >> and a bunch of them and one

hello again, it's the bottom of the hour. wind swept rain on your way to work or school this morn. of course, it's also warm and humid. and sharon has the traffic and a bad scene on the westside of the beltway. this weather isn't going to make it better. here's the first warning doppler weather radar. i've got news for you. it's pretty foul, almost areawide and right now, where we don't have the moisture falling, we've had the rainfall, steady and heavy over this area here. look at all of that moisture. looking at the forecast for the day, what we'll see is potential clearing later on t that's not for the next few hours.

>> reporter: sky eye chopper 13 is over a house collapse. >> i've seen the debris falling off of the building and i heard a loud boom! >> reporter: the firefighters get on their hands and niece and dig through the house, brick by brick, beam by beam after reports that a woman was seen walking past the house when it came crashing down. >> our firefighters and our special operation's team are here on site. they're going through the debris to determine if someone is beneath the debris. >> the firefighters used a hi- tech thermal imaging camera. it's a device that detects heat. and after an exhaustive process, it was determined there was no victim in the rubble. and the residents are surprised. when i saw it yesterday, it was perfectly okay.

>> reporter: no one was injured as a result of the collapse. the housing department is investigating the cause of the collapse. it's unknown at this time. thank you, kai. the house next door was also evacuated. also, an update on a mental patient morerred. -- murdered. a 46 year old said he strangled a 45-year-old with a piece of string inside the hospital. he said that moments earlier, he kissed her in her room. the motive is very unclear. >> the baltimore couple accused of killing johns hopkins researcher stephen pitcairn won't go to court until

earlier, he said that office held a special place in his heart. >> that's been a special aspiration of mine. mayor of chicago? >> the one thing, if you ask me what i miss, that's the contact with constituents. >> at the time, the job was filled with daley. he won't run for another term. if he does resign, this man will feel the role of chief of staff and adviser and close friend, valerie jarred is another contender. we'll see what decision needs to be made. >> and family issues are the sticking point for rahm emanuel. his wife and children only recently moved to washington with the kids starting in an area school three weeks ago.

bill clinton changed chief of staff four times during his presidency. this is not ideal though. the white house is readying a final push for the white house five weeks away and the president's approval ratings continue to sag. if rahm emanuel decides to run for mayor of chicago, he must act quickly. the filing date for the primary is november 22nd. and we know his commission polls put to test his political viability. and a suspension from showalter keeps him confined to the press box. he was fined and the coach got the birds to a win and snapping the four game losing streak. one more victory, the

>> i listened to one of the other interviews and you said that the two main characters don't know as much as the audience knows watching. a that unusual. >> well, i think so, in a certain way, i think, especially on network television, what happens sometimes is we dumb down the show. i say we as an everything. i think that networks, because the advertisers, they want to make sure that the audience understands everything and the beauty of cable is they don't have the advertisers and they can do what they want. what's happened with our show instead of dumbing everything down, they've smartened it up. i feel like i have the network show that reads like a cable show. >> and tell josh, i said hi.
